2010 has been a year of many storms and battles in life. With all our weaknesses and failures, the Lord has been very good to us. Like a good Shepherd the Lord has lead us and guided us victoriously and triumphantly. In a short period of time, the Lord has enabled us make huge strides– we have reached with the message of gospel more families in the last11 weeks than we had in the last 11 years. Though our talents are few, we put them to use. We are certainly more confident now in our music, ministry of Word, faith, generosity & of course, loving one another. Won’t the Lord say, “Well done, you good and faithful servants: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you rulers over many things (Matt 25:21) Let us enter into the joy of our Lord in faith.
Reflecting on our first 3 months, we are poised to enter 2011 with the same energy and verve that has brought us to this significant milestone. The challenges will, however, be on two critical fronts: inside (co-existing as one body of people) & outside (developing a mission focus). For both, the Lord says, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. … Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (John 15:4). Let us, therefore, be strong and courageous & not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord our God who goes with us. He will not leave us nor forsake us. (Deut 31:6)
